Ukraine reports 66 battles along front line: hottest situation in Pokrovsk sector

Since the beginning of the day on March 12, 66 battles have occurred along the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian forces are most active in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 17 attacks

This is stated in the General Staff's report.

On March 12, Ukrainian border areas have been affected by Russian artillery shelling, including the settlements of Oleksandrivka, Baranivka, Starykove, Komarivka in Sumy region, and Arkhipivka in Chernihiv region.

Situation in the main front sectors

In the Kupiansk direction, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions six times near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zahrizove. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled two attacks near the settlement of Myrne.

In the Siversk direction, four battles have been recorded, which are still ongoing in the areas of Verkhnokamianske and Ivano-Dariivka.

In the Toretsk direction, nine Russian attacks occurred. Russian forces attacked in the areas of Toretsk, Druzhba, and Ozyarynivka. Four battles are currently ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian army have already launched 27 attacks on Ukrainian defenders' positions in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Novotoretske, Promin, Dachenske, Novoukrainka, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces repelled 17 attacks, and 10 combat engagements are still ongoing. Russian aviation carried out airstrikes with guided bombs on Pokrovsk and Leontovych.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the invaders launched six assaults on the positions of Ukrainian forces near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, and Burlatske. The Defense Forces repelled all Russian attacks.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks in the areas of Pryvilne and Novodaryivka. The settlements of Novopil and Huliaipole were hit by airstrikes with unguided missiles.

On the Orikhiv direction, the invaders, with the support of assault aviation, attacked in the areas of Piatykhatky and towards Novoandriivka. One attack has been repelled, while two are still ongoing.

In the Kharkiv, Kramatorsk directions, the Russians did not carry out active offensive operations today.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack. Additionally, Russian forces carried out three airstrikes, dropping four guided aerial bombs, and conducted 144 artillery shelling attacks, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.

  • Over the night and morning of March 12, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using strike drones and a ballistic missile, targeting Kharkiv, Dnipro, the Kyiv region, Sumy, and Kryvyi Rih.
