Ukrainian forces report 62 battles, including 22 Russian attacks in Pokrovsk direction

This is reported by Ukraine's General Staff in their daily update. 

Russian artillery shelling affected the settlements of Popivka and Stepok in the Sumy region. Airstrikes targeted Stepok, Myropilske, Pokrovka, Petrushivka, and Velyka Pysarivka in the Sumy region.

Situation on key fronts  

In the Kharkiv direction, since the beginning of the day, Russia has attacked Ukrainian defenders' positions near Kamyanka once.  

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian troops made two unsuccessful attempts to advance toward Ukrainian fortifications near Zahryzove.  

Russia attacked Ukrainian positions five times in the Lyman direction, near the settlements of Hrekivka, Nova, and towards Novomykhailivka, Zeleno Dolyna. Currently, two clashes continue.  

In the Siversky direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled five Russian assaults near Verkhnokamianske and towards Ivano-Dariivka and Vyimka.  

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one assault by the Russian army towards Predtechyne.  

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 13 times in the areas of Dachne, Druzhba, Diliivka, Toretsk, and Leonidivka. Four clashes are still ongoing. 

Russia remains highly active in the Pokrovsk direction, where 22 clashes of varying intensity have occurred today. Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks near the settlements of Novokalynove, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Zviriv, Udachne, Novosergiyivka, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriivka, and towards Romanyvka and Oleksandropol. Ten of these clashes are ongoing. Our defenders are providing a strong resistance to Russian forces, and the fighting continues.  

The Russian invaders attempted to break through four times in the areas of Rozlyv and Kostiantynopol in the Novopavlivka direction, with ongoing battles.  

In the Huliaipole direction, the aggressor launched an airstrike with unguided aviation rockets on Novopil, but did not conduct active offensive operations.  

Fighting continues in the areas of the settlements of Stepove, Malyi Shcherbaky, and Kam'yanske in the Orikhiv direction. In total, today, Russia has attempted to advance on our positions six times.  

On the Prydniprovky direction, Russian army unsuccessfully attempted to advance toward Ukrainian defenders' positions once.  

In Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks. Additionally, Russian forces launched five airstrikes using eight guided bombs.

• Over the past day, the occupying Russian army lost at least 1,390 soldiers and a number of military vehicles in the war against Ukraine.
