56 combat clashes occur at frontline, 6 ongoing in Pokrovsk direction - Ukraine's General Staff

This is stated in the General Staff's report as of 13:00 am.

The border areas of Sumy region are suffering from artillery strikes from Russia's territory. Today, the village of Obody was shelled from the direction of Novy Put (Russia) and the village of Mohrytsia from the direction of Gornal (Russia). Russia also continues to fire guided aerial bombs from its territory at Kharkiv region. Seven Russian UAVs have already caused destruction in the areas of Liptsi, Hlyboke, and Starytsia. 

Situation in the main directions

As of now, the total number of combat ckashes along the entire frontline has reached 56. Russian forces are most active in the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions, where half of all assault operations took place and are still ongoing. 

In the Kharkiv direction, 4 Russia's attacks took place near Vovchansk. 

Over the last day in the Kharkiv direction, the invading forces lost 168 troops, 55 of them irretrievably. One Russian tank, one armored combat vehicle and two vehicles were destroyed. Another tank, an artillery system and a vehicle were damaged. 16 Russian personnel shelters and one ammunition depot were destroyed.

Six combat clashes have taken place in the Kupyansk direction since the beginning of the day. Russian attacks near Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane and Berestove were repelled by Ukrainian defenders.

In the Lyman direction, five Russian attacks near Makiivka and Terny were unsuccessful. Currently, the fighting continues near Hrekivka, Makiivka and Terny.

In the Siversk direction, the number of battles near Verkhnyokamianske, Rozdolivka and Vyymka increased to 13. Russian trops were repelled, the situation is under control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian army keeps trying to advance to Hryhorivka and the Novyi neighborhood of Chasiv Yar. Fighting continues near Ivanivske. In total, there were five combat clashes in the direction.

The situation is tense in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops tried to improve their position 15 times. Currently, six battles are ongoing near Yevhenivka, Novooleksandrivka and Novopokrovske. Attacks near Kalynove and Novoselivka Persha were repelled. The situation is under control of Ukrainian defenders.

According to the updated information, Russia lost 318 soldiers in killed and wounded in the Pokrovsk direction yesterday. An armored combat vehicle, four cannons and four vehicles were destroyed.

In the Vremivka direction, the battle near Urozhaine continues.

In the Orikhiv direction, a Russian attack near Novodanylivka failed.

The situation in other sectors did not change significantly.

• Over the past day of the war in Ukraine, the Russian army lost at least 1,230 troops. Ukrainian defenders also eliminated dozens of units of hostile equipment.
