26 people evacuated from Avdiivka sector

"In the midst of the fighting, White Angels evacuated 26 people and a dog from the Avdiivka area. The oldest rescued person is 95 years old," the statement says.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that over the past 12 days, more and more residents of the Ocheretyne community have been asking the police to evacuate. In addition, law enforcement officers are bringing humanitarian aid to the settlements of Donetsk region.

"Even to villages where only three residents remain. Over 12 days, law enforcement officers delivered more than a ton of cargo to the villages of Umanske, Berdychi, Orlivka, and Semenivka," the Interior Ministry added.

• On January 2, the White Angel police group evacuated two elderly couples and two men in serious condition from Avdiivka. In addition, law enforcement officers recovered the body of a deceased man from under the slabs of a destroyed house.
