2026 will see event that determines how world gets divided — Polish analyst
In 2026, there will be four meetings between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, and these negotiations will determine the future of global security
Piotr Kulpa, political expert, former secretary of the Polish delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and former member of the Polish government, expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"Fundamentally, what Trump is doing aligns with the philosophy that Putin has shown us. There are even some historical parallels, because he's saying that Denmark's rights to Greenland are connected to some ships. We also had ships, as Trump mentions, but the U.S. didn't exist then, since Russia only appeared 300 years ago. The U.S.'s medieval rights to Greenland are the same as Putin's medieval rights to Kyivan Rus. No, there's no connection whatsoever. It's simply not their legacy, not their rights. It's pure nonsense that sounds the same whether it's coming from Moscow or Washington today. Overall, I see this process as one of power negotiations. Negotiations that are preparation for the Trump-Comrade Xi meeting, of which there will be four in 2026, and they will essentially give us the answer to how the world will be divided, what the new security system will look like, what war will be like, whether there will be war at all, whether it will take on a kinetic character, or whether it will be limited to an economic Cold War that we know from the past. That's more or less how the situation will look, except for one thing: in this rectangle of the U.S., Europe, Russia, and China, the weakest link is Moscow," Kulpa explained.
The analyst noted that an important development is the military integration of Europe and Ukraine. In fact, there is no longer European security without Ukraine.
"And here, the economic problems and the strain that Russia is experiencing today are destructive. Russia is running out of money. Ukraine has the support of Europe, the wealthiest economic space. The military integration of Europe and Ukraine has occurred. There is no longer European security without Ukraine. Out of 220 brigades in Europe, 120 are Ukrainian, and their combat strength is estimated at 180. In reality, Ukraine is a center of power in times when force is the only law. Ukraine is not only a real army, but also drone-centric warfare technologies, on the basis of which the continent's security force can be built. Because drones are cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, space," he added.
