20 Russian drones shot down by Ukraine's air defense in recent attack

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since 11:00 p.m. on December 16, Russian forces have launched Shahed attack UAVs and other drones from Russia’s Bryansk and Oryol regions.
By 12:00 a.m., 20 drones were confirmed destroyed in Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Cherkasy regions.
“Thanks to the active defense efforts, 10 drones were prevented from reaching their targets, and one drone is still airborne”, the Air Force reported.
- Over the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 1,600 Russian troops and many military vehicles and weapons at the frontline.
