192 combat clashes take place along frontline: situation is most intense in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove sectors

This is stated in the General Staff's report as of 8:00 a.m. on October 26.

According to the updated information, yesterday the Russian troops launched four missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using eight missiles, as well as 91 air strikes, and dropped 139 KABs. In addition, they carried out more than 4,300 attacks, including 142 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 13 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel and weapons concentration, and one strike on artillery systems.

Situation in the main frontline areas

In the Kharkiv direction, four hostile attacks occurred in the area of Vovchansk. 

In the Kupyansk direction, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Vyshneve 17 times over the last day.

In the Lyman direction, Russia's troops attacked 24 times. They tried to advance near six different settlements, with main efforts near Hrekivka, Terny, Torske and in Serebryansky forest.

In the Siverskyi direction, the occupation forces tried to advance six times in the area of Ivano-Daryivka and Vyimka, all attacks were repelled, the Russian army had no success.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupation troops attacked once in the area of Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian troops, with the support of aviation, carried out three attacks in the area of Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 46 assault and offensive actions near Lysivka, Selydove and Myroliubivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 41 attacks near Hostre, Katerynivka and Novodmytrivka. 

In the Vremivka direction, according to the updated information, Russia made 22 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Bohoyavlenka and Novoukrainka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces did not conduct any assault operations, they are attacking localities using all available types of weapons and conducting air strikes.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian invading troops attacked Ukrainian positions three times. They received a tough rebuff and suffered losses.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups fornation were detected.

On the border with the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, Russia is actively using guided aerial bombs and attack UAVs in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements, and conducting artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. 

Russian unexploded ordnance is also exploding in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, where Ukrainian troops are conducting an operation. According to the available information, Russia conducted 35 air strikes over the last day, using 47 guided aerial bombs.  

• Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy dozens of Russian vehicles and 1690 Russian soldiers at the front.
