188 frontline clashes reported: Ukraine fends off 50 Russian attacks near Kurakhove

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 08:00 a.m.

"According to the updated information, yesterday Russia launched two missile strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using four missiles, as well as 24 airstrikes, dropping 31 guided bombs. In addition, the Russians used more than 2,000 ‘kamikaze’ drones and fired over 4,200 times, including 141 times from multiple launch rocket systems," the General Staff reported.

The General Staff added that yesterday the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted four strikes on the Russian manpower concentrations.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked once near Tykhe.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia launched five attacks. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the Russian offensive near Nova Kruhliaikivka, Lozova, and Synkivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked 16 times near Hrekivka, Tverdokhlibove, Yampolivka, Terny, Zarichne, Torske, Druzheliubivka, Bilohorivka, and in the Serebryanka forestry.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attacked five times near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russian army launched six attacks near Toretsk and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 40 Russian attacks near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovte, Pushkine, Novotroitske, Shevchenko, and Novopustynka.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 50 attacks. Russia focused its main efforts near Berestky, Stari Terny, Zorya, Sontsivka, Kurakhove, Dalnye, Yelyzavetivka, Hannivka, Romanivka, and Uspenivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian forces, supported by aviation, carried out 37 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Sukhi Yaly, Makarivka, and Novodarivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack near Novodanylivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions four times.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the Russian army is actively using artillery and aviation from its territory in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.

The operation in the Kursk region is ongoing.

"The Russian aviation is striking Russian territory with guided aerial bombs. Currently, 12 airstrikes have been reported, using 17 guided bombs, as well as 492 artillery shellings," the General Staff reported.
