173 combat clashes on Russian-Ukrainian frontline: Russian forces focus on Kurakhove

On Saturday, November 2, Russian forces launched more than 50 attacks against Kurakhove. A total of 173 combat clashes took place across the front lines

This information comes from the General Staff's morning report on November 3.

According to detailed updates, Russian forces launched one missile and 69 airstrikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. Additionally, they fired over 3,000 rounds, including 112 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The attacks included one missile and 114 guided aerial bombs.

Russian forces conducted airstrikes on specific areas: Yunakivka, Zhuravka, and Basivka in Sumy region; Slatyne, Kozacha Lopan, Mali Prohody, Pishchane, Synkivka, Holubivka, and Terny in Kharkiv region; Toretsk, Kurakhove, Illinka, Uspenivka, Bohoyavlenka, Maksymivka, and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region; and Lobkove, Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Yurkivka in Zaporizhzhia region.

Throughout the day, Ukrainian defense forces targeted six concentrations of Russian personnel, weaponry, and equipment, one artillery unit in a firing position, and two ammunition depots.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attempted eight assaults near Vovchansk, backed by air support.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 attacks, stopping enemy advances near Pischane, Zahryzove, Petropavlivka, Zelenyi Hay, Kruhlyakivka, Kolisnykivka, and Lozova.

Russian forces made 14 assault attempts in the Lyman direction, pushing towards Hrekivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Torske, and the Serebrianka forest. They deployed 30 unguided rockets and dropped six guided bombs.

In the Siversk direction, Russian troops launched seven offensives near Ivano-Dariivka and Vyimka.

The Kramatorsk direction saw a single Russian attack near Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk direction, supported by aviation, Russian forces launched eight attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, with most of their efforts concentrated on Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted 23 Russian assaults on Mykolaivka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, Selydove, Sukha Balka, Myrolyubivka, Suhyi Yar, Krutyi Yar, and Novohrodivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian defense forces held off 51 attacks, with Russian forces particularly active near Illinka, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Hostre, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka, Kreminna Balka, and Katerynivka.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian forces launched 12 assaults around Trudove and Maksymivka.

With air support, Russian forces attacked near Novoandriivka, Robotyne, and Mala Tokmachka in the Orikhiv direction.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian forces repelled three Russian assaults near Kozachi Laheri, Dnipryany, and Kozachyi Island, with no gains made by Russian troops.

No signs of Russian offensive buildup were detected along the Belarus border.

On the borders of Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russian forces continue to use artillery and airstrikes from within Russian territory, targeting nearby Ukrainian settlements.

Operations remain ongoing in the Kursk region.
