172 clashes at the front as Ukrainian forces repel 52 Russian attacks near Pokrovsk – General Staff
The most intense fighting yesterday took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 52 assaults by Russian forces. In total, there were 172 skirmishes along the front throughout the day

Russian attacks on Ukraine
Yesterday, Russian troops launched three missile strikes (with 15 missiles) and 66 air strikes, including 87 guided aerial bombs, along with 715 kamikaze drone attacks. They carried out a total of 4,574 assaults on Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, with 128 of these from MLRS.
Russian troops launched air strikes on a total of 26 settlements across Ukraine.
Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted Russian control posts, artillery systems, radar stations, and nine personnel and military equipment concentrations.
Frontline situation
Over the past day, Russian activity surged along almost the entire front, with 172 combat clashes recorded.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops continued their active operations, with seven clashes reported. Fighting occurred near the settlements of Vovchansk and Hlyboke.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 13 times. Defense units repelled assaults near seven settlements, with major efforts concentrated in the districts of Berestove and Stelmakhivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attacks by Russian forces near Nevske, Makiivka, and Lozova.
In the Siversk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 assaults near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Vyimka, and Pereizne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers stopped 20 attempts by Russian troops to break through, particularly near Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Kalynivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Toretsk direction, with air support, Russian forces carried out 10 attacks near Pivnichne, Zalizne, and Niu York.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 52 assault and offensive actions. Russian efforts were focused near Novooleksandrivka and Prohres, with 16 and 17 attacks respectively, and attempts to advance near Vozdvyzhenka, Lozuvatske, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka, and Karlivka in the Donetsk region were thwarted.
In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces held back Russian troops in Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka, where 15 breakthrough attempts were made.
In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops launched six assaults on Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynivka and Staromayorske in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhiv direction, seven clashes took place near Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, and Novodanylivka. Russian forces fired over fifty unguided missiles toward Kamianske and Lobkove.
In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
On the Belarus border, the operational situation remains stable with no signs of offensive Russian formations.
On the Chernihiv and Sumy regions' border, Russia maintains a military presence, shelling populated areas from Russian territory and conducting sabotage and reconnaissance.
Ukrainian strikes against Russian forces
Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict losses on Russian troops, exhausting them along the battle lines and in their rear. Yesterday, Russian troops lost 1,100 personnel. Ukrainian forces also neutralized 9 tanks, 46 armored vehicles, 44 artillery systems, an air defense system, 52 operational-tactical UAVs, 68 vehicles, and 9 units of special equipment.
