165 combat clashes at front on September 28: Most of them in Pokrovsk direction

This was reported in the General Staff’s briefing at 08:00 on September 29.

Yesterday, Russia launched two missile strikes against Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, using seven missiles. Additionally, there were 73 airstrikes, including 124 guided bombs. Russian forces conducted over 4,700 artillery attacks, including 179 from MLRS systems, and deployed over 1,700 kamikaze drones in various assaults.

Airstrikes hit numerous locations, including Kucherivka, Bilokopytove, Studenok, Yunakivka, Sumy, Pavlivka, Yablunivka, Bilovody, Shypuvate, Lyptsi, Petropavlivka, Pischane, Kivsharivka, Hlushkivka, Siversk, Yasenove, Novodarivka, Bohoyavlenka, Novodonetske, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia, Lvove, Havrylivka, Sablukivka, and Dutchany.

In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery carried out six strikes on enemy troop concentrations and anti-aircraft systems.

Frontline situation

One clash was recorded in the Kharkiv direction, near the settlement of Tykhe.

In the Kupyansk direction, 14 clashes were reported. Ukrainian forces repelled attacks near Synkivka, Lozove, Tabaivka, and Vyshneve.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces held off 22 Russian assaults around Hrekivka, Nevske, Makiivka, Terny, Torske, and Bilohorivka.

In the Siversk direction, five Russian attacks were stopped near Verkhnyokamyanske and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops fended off 12 Russian attempts to breach defenses in Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, and Kurdyumivka.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched 10 attacks near Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 39 assaults, over half of which occurred near Selydove, Novotoretsk, Mykolaivka, and Marynivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian forces resisted 18 Russian advances near Tsukuryne, Heorhiivka, Katerynivka, and Hirnyk.

In the Vremivka direction, Russians launched 16 attempts to seize Ukrainian positions near Vuhledar, Vodyane, and Katerynivka, also attacking from Prychystivka.

Two assaults were repelled in the Robotyne and Kamianske districts in the Orikhiv direction.

In the Kherson direction, Russian troops launched three unsuccessful offensives, suffering losses.

Along the Belarus border, the situation remains stable with no signs of Russian forces forming offensive groups.

No significant Russian activity was reported in the Huliaypole direction.

On the Chernihiv and Sumy region borders, Russian forces maintain a military presence, conducting reconnaissance and shelling, using kamikaze drones and guided bombs in air strikes.

Ukrainian forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Russian forces conducted 14 airstrikes using 18 guided bombs on their territory over the past day.
