Ukraine's General Staff reports 159 combat engagements, mostly in Pokrovsk sector

This was reported by the General Staff in its update.  

Russian forces continue to strike settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Artillery attacks targeted the villages of Bleshnya, Ulanove, Bila Beriza, Khodyne, Malushyne, Nova Sloboda, Oleksandrivka, Porozok, Striletska Pushkarka, and Dmytrivka. Airstrikes hit the areas of Myropilske, Prokhody, Ugroidy, Krasnopillia, and Khmelivka.

Situation in key frontline areas

- Kharkiv direction: Four Russian assaults were recorded towards Vovchansk.  

- Kupiansk direction: Russia carried out 25 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Stepover Novoselivka, Zahrizov, and in the directions of Petropavlivka, Pishchany, Nova Kruhlyakivka, and Bohuslavka. 19 combat engagements are ongoing.  

- Lyman direction: The Russian aggressor launched 27 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Nadiya, Kolodiyazi, Myrne, and Yampolivka, and in the directions of Novoserhiyivka, Novyi, Olhivka, Dronivka, and Hryhorivka. 10 combat engagements are ongoing.  

- Siverskyi direction: Russian army conducted three offensive actions near the settlements of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamyanske.

- Kramatorsk direction: the Defense Forces repelled two Russian attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar and Predtechyn, while two more attacks are ongoing.  

- Toretsk direction: Russian soldiers attacked Ukrainian positions 21 times in the areas of Krymske, Ozaryanivka, Kurdyumivka, Toretsk, and in the directions of Diliivka, Leonidivka, and Shcherbynivka. Three combat engagements are ongoing.  

- Pokrovsk direction: Russia launched 41 attacks today on our defenders' positions in the areas of the settlements of Panteleimonivka, Oleksandropil, Vodiane Druhe, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Sukhy Yar, Kotlyne, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and in the directions of Malynivka and Novooleksandrivka. Eight combat engagements are ongoing.  

- Novopavlivka direction, our defenders repelled 13 Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Rozlyv, Skudne, Dniproenerhiya, and Burlatske.  

- Hulyaipole direction: Russian forces conducted 8 assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Pryvilne, Novosilka, and towards Vilne Pole. Airstrikes targeted the settlements of Shevchenko, Novodarivka, Novopil, and Hulyaipole.  

- Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped four Russian attacks. The Russians attempted to advance towards the settlements of Shcherbaky, Lobkove, and Kamianske.  

- Prydniprovskyi direction: Russian aggressor did not carry out active offensive operations.  

- Kursk direction: eight combat engagements took place today, one of which is still ongoing. 

Additionally, the Russians carried out 12 airstrikes, dropped 14 KABs, and conducted 237 artillery shellings, including nine from multiple rocket launch systems.

• Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia troop grouping, noted that the rules of war are being shaped in the Pokrovsk direction.
