155 combat clashes at frontline, Russia focuses on Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk direction - Ukraine's General Staff

Over the last day, July 22, 155 combat clashes took place at the frontline, with the most intense fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk direction. Russia stepped up its efforts in the Kramatorsk direction

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff on July 23 as of 8:00 a.m.

According to the General Staff, yesterday Russia's troops launched three missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using three missiles, as well as 96 air strikes, dropping 132 KABs. In addition, they carried out more than 4,400 attacks, including 105 from MLRS.

Russiam forces carried out air strikes near 7 settlements in the Kharkiv region; 17 in the Donetsk region; 3 in the Kherson region.

Over the past day, Ukraine's aviation, missile forces and artillery conducted 14 strikes on tRussian personnel and weapons concentrations, as well as destroyed a command post, five artillery systems, a radar station and three ammunition depots.

Frontline update

A total of 155 combat clashes took place over the last day.

In the Kharkiv direction, 10 combat clashes occurred near Hlyboke and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, the number of attacks amounted to 13 over the last day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russia's assault near 7 settlements.

In the Lyman direction, Russia attacked 11 times near 4 settlements and Serebryanka forest.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assault actions near 5 settlements. A total of eight firefights took place.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attacked 30 times near 11 settlements.

In the Toretsk direction, Russia carried out 16 attacks near Pivnichne, Toretsk, Niu York and Zalizne.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 43 attacks near 12 settlements. The highest concentration of hostile attacks was near Novooleksandrivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed 17 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka, where the Russian units tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses.

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupying Russian army is trying to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. Three combat clashes took place near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne.

In the Kherson direction, four Russian attacks failed during the storming of Ukraine's defenses on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

The situation did not change significantly in the Vremivka and Huliaipole directions.

Near the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected.

On the northeastern border with Russia and Belarus, Russia maintains its military presence, shelling settlements from its territory and increasing the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.

  • Over the past day, July 21, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 18 Russian tanks, 51 artillery systems and 17 infantry fighting vehicles. In addition, Russia lost 1,050 personnel.
