149 combat clashes occur at frontline, Russia fires over 4,800 times at Ukraine

In the past day, there have been 149 combat clashes along the frontline between Ukrainian and Russian forces, with the Kurakhove sector experiencing the most intense Russian assaults

Over the past day, 149 combat clashes were registered at the front. More than a third of them took place in the Kurakhove sector.

According to the updated information, yesterday Russia launched a missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and localities using one missile, as well as 93 air strikes, including 67 KABs. In addition, it carried out more than 4,800 attacks, including 148 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used more than 1,600 kamikaze drones to attack.

The Russian army launched air strikes targeting 24 settlements across Ukraine.

Over the last day, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery conducted one strike on the area where Russian personnel and weapons were concentrated, a command center, an ammunition depot, three radars and three strikes on other important targets.

Frontline update

Four firefights took place in the Kharkiv direction. The fighting took place near Vovchansk.

The number of combat clashes in the Kupyansk direction reached 13 over the last day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled attacks near 5 settlements.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 15 Russian attacks near Hrekivka, Zarichne, Terny and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three Russian attempts to break through Ukraine's defenses in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, Donetsk region.

The Russian troops tried to advance once in the Toretsk sector, operating in the area of Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 31 attacks near 6 populated areas. 

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian troops near 5 settlements, where they tried to break through Ukrainian defenses 48 times.

In the Vremivka direction, Russia made 12 attempts to seize Ukrainian positions near Bohoyavlenka and Novoukrainka in the Donetsk region.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces launched two unsuccessful offensives and suffered losses.

The operational situationon the border with Belarus remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of offensive groups of Russian occupation forces were detected. They also did not conduct active offensives on the Siverskyi, Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia maintains a military presence, conducts reconnaissance activities, shells the territory, and uses kamikaze drones and guided aerial bombs for air strikes.

Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct operations in the Kursk region. According to available information, Russia launched 37 air strikes on its territory over the past day, using 54 guided aerial bombs.

“Our soldiers continue to actively deplete the enemy's combat potential, including during the operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation,” the statement said.

  • Pavlo Lakiychuk, head of security programs at the Center for Global Studies Strategy XXI, explained that Russia has limited strategic reserves, so it is constantly redeploying forces and resources between directions.
