Ukraine's General Staff reports 145 combat clashes at Russian-Ukrainian frontline

This information comes from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as per their 08:00 a.m. briefing.

"Based on updated data, yesterday Russian forces launched two missile strikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, firing 11 missiles in total. They also conducted 83 airstrikes, including 146 guided aerial bombs, 5,049 ground attacks (137 of those with MLRS systems), and deployed 1,618 kamikaze drones," the report states.

The General Staff added that Ukrainian missile troops and artillery struck key Russian military targets over the past day: one command post, two air defense systems, one gun in firing position, two ammo depots, three concentrations of personnel and military hardware, and four Russian radar stations.

Frontline update

Kharkiv direction: Russian forces attacked once near Vovchansk, employing heavy aviation support.

Kupyansk direction: 21 Russian attacks took place, with Ukrainian forces pushing back assaults near Synkivka, Novoosynivka, Kolisnykivka, Pershotravneve, Pischane, Kruhlyakivka, Zelenyi Hay, Vyshneve, Bohuslavka, Petropavlivka, Lozova, Kindrashivka, and Zahryzove.

Lyman direction: Russian troops attempted 11 attacks, advancing towards Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Terny, Zarichne, Druzhelyubivka, and the Serebrianka Forestry.

Siversk direction: Ukrainian forces repelled two Russian assaults near Verkhniokamianske and Bilohorivka.

Kramatorsk direction: One attack was reported in the Chasiv Yar area.

Pokrovsk direction: Tensions remain high, with Ukrainian defenders stopping 28 Russian assaults near Myrolyubivka, Promin, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Novohrodivka, Vyshneve, Krutyi Yar, and Selydove.

Kurakhov direction: Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 41 attacks on positions near Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Illinka, Maksymilianivka, Hostre, Yelyzavetivka, Dalne, Antonivka, Kurakhivka, Kreminna Balka, Voznesenka, and Katerynivka.

Vremivka direction: Russian troops carried out eight assaults near Bohoyavlenka, Maksymivka, Trudove, and Novoukrainka, using attack and bomber aircraft for support.

Huliaipole direction: Russian forces made one failed attempt to displace Ukrainian defenders near Charivne.

Kherson direction: No major changes in the operational situation, with four unsuccessful Russian assaults recorded.

Orihiv and Toretsk directions: No Russian assault operations occurred, but populated areas were targeted by airstrikes.

No indications suggest Russian offensive groups forming along the Belarus border.

On the Chernihiv and Sumy region border, Russian forces from within their own territory intensified artillery and aerial attacks on nearby Ukrainian settlements.

Operations continue in the Kursk region, with Russians launching 19 airstrikes with 20 guided bombs and 133 artillery strikes from their side of the border.

"Our troops are inflicting significant losses on the occupying forces, weakening their offensive capability in the rear," the General Staff added.

• During the past day, Russian forces reportedly lost at least 1,310 soldiers, with Ukrainian Defense Forces destroying 19 Russian tanks and downing 84 drones.
