140 frontline combat clashes: intense fighting in Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kupiansk directions

Over the past day, August 3, 140 combat clashes took place along the Russian-Ukrainian frontline. The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk direction, and Russia is also active in the Toretsk and Kupiansk areas

According to updated information, on August 3, Russia launched four missile attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements using six missiles, as well as 49 air strikes, dropping 62 KABs. Additionally, over 5,100 attacks were carried out, including 106 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian air strikes targeted 23 settlements across Ukraine.

Yesterday, Ukrainian aviation, missile troops and artillery conducted five strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel and weapons, as well as hit a command post, five air defense systems, a radar station, a logistics center and another important military object.

Frontline update

Over the last day, 140 combat clashes were registered. The situation remained the most intense in the Pokrovsk direction, with Russian troops also active in the Toretsk and Kupiansk directions.

In the Kharkiv direction, 6 combat clashes took place. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled assaults near Tykhe, Hlyboke and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, 19 combat clashes took place, in particular, near Synkivka, Kolesnykivka, Novoosynove, Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked 8 times near Makiivka, Nevske and Terny.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assault operations near Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Darivka, Vyimka, Pereizne and Spirne.

In the Kramatorsk direction, 12 battles took place near Vasyukivka, Chasiv Yar and Andriivka.

In the Toretsk direction, 20 combat clashes took place near Pivnichne, Niu York, Toretsk and Zalizne.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 45 attacks near Panteleimonivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Zhelanne, Novoselivka Persha, Kalynove, Mezhove, Karlivka, Svyrydonivka, Skuchne, Ivanivka and Yasnobrodivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 11 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Panteleimonivka, Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka, where Russian troops tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. 

In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops launched 7 attacks near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka and Rozdolne.

In the Orikhiv direction, two Russian offensives near Robotyne were unsuccessful.

The situation in the Huliaipole and Kherson directions remained unchanged. 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia maintains a military presence, conducts mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from its territory, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. 

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are actively inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on Russian forces, exhausting them along the entire front line.

  • Over the past day, August 3, the Russian army lost at least 1,150 soldiers and a number of other pieces of equipment in the war in Ukraine.
