1,325 civilians evacuated from frontline areas of Donetsk region
Over the past week, 1,325 civilians, including 35 children, have been evacuated from frontline settlements in the Donetsk region to safe areas
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced this.
In just one week, 1,325 civilians were evacuated from the frontline settlements of Donetsk region.
"During my visit to the region, I visited one of the evacuation centres, which receives dozens of people every day. It has rooms for temporary stay, including for children, a generator and a connection. People who have fled the shelling are provided with food and hygiene kits. From here, the evacuees are travelling to the rear regions of the country," he said.
According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, 7 evacuation groups are currently working in the Toretsk community on a daily basis - White Angels, patrol policemen, rescuers, and paramedics.
With their assistance, more than 1,300 civilians were evacuated over the past week, 35 of them children.
"I talked to the heads of the units and praised the personnel who risk their lives to help civilians leave the area under fire," said Klymenko. - "Sometimes it takes a lot of effort. It is not easy to persuade those who have lived in their own homes all their lives to leave. Moreover, the enemy is targeting evacuation groups."
- On July 2, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that people who were forcibly evacuated from the Kharkiv region were not allowed to return. It is also known that 112 children are being forcibly evacuated from the Vovchansk community.
