Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said this during the telethon.

"The situation in Pokrovsk is difficult, the city is massively shelled every day. Unfortunately, 12,000 people and 68 children remain in Pokrovsk. The authorities have worked with almost all families with children. These families assured that they will leave the city in the near future," he said.

According to Filashkin, there are a few family doctors, shops and a post office in the city, but their number is decreasing every day.

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration also emphasized that the situation in Pokrovsk and the community is the most difficult.

At the same time, about 400 residents remain in Chasiv Yar, who, according to Filashkin, have no plans to leave.

"Neither the authorities nor the State Emergency Service units have the ability to deliver humanitarian aid there. The military provides it whenever possible. They deliver food, drinking water, and medicines," he added.

Almost 40% of Pokrovsk is without electricity and gas supply

The head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration, Serhii Dobriak, told Espreso TV channel that almost 40% of the city has no electricity or gas supply and urged people to leave at least for the winter.

According to Dobriak, about 12,000 residents remain in Pokrovsk, including 87 children.

"All families will leave the city. The pace of evacuation has slowed down. A week ago, about 1,000 people a day were leaving, and today less than 100. Up to 300 people are leaving from the entire community. I want to thank all the residents who are leaving in advance. There is no need to put yourself in danger. As for the humanitarian situation in the city, small shops and a small market are still open. This is enough for so many people. There are several family doctors, Ukrposhta, and the administrative service center as a front office. As for the water supply, we prepared in advance, there are 325 wells in the city, 9 of which are drinking," he said.

  • On October 16, Serhiy Tsehotskyi, an officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, noted that Russians are trying to outflank Pokrovsk.
