119 clashes erupt along Russian-Ukrainian frontline: heaviest fighting in Pokrovsk sector

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 4:00 p.m.

Ukraine’s border settlements continue to suffer from Russian shelling, including 10 villages in the Sumy region. In addition, the Russians carried out an airstrike near Osoivka in the Sumy region.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one assault near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, fighting continues near Stepova Novoselivka.

In the Lyman sector, the Russians attacked 16 times near Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and Bilohorivka; five clashes are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled nine Russian attacks near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops attacked nine times near Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Yablunivka; two clashes are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian occupiers made 45 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from positions near Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Myrne, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, Kotliarivka, Bohdanivka, Novoukrainka, and Andriivka. Ukrainian soldiers repelled 38 attacks, with seven clashes ongoing. Sukhyi Yar and Novoekonomichne were hit by airstrikes.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 16 attacks near Bahatyr, Vesele, Burlatske, and Vilne Pole; four clashes continue. Russian airstrikes hit Shevchenko, Komyshuvakha, Maliivka, and Olhivske.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped one Russian advance near Malynivka; three battles are ongoing. The Russians carried out airstrikes near Zaliznychne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one assault near Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian invaders attempted two advances but failed.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled nine attacks; four clashes continue. Since the start of the day, the Russians launched 16 airstrikes, dropping 33 guided bombs, and carried out 101 artillery strikes on Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

In other sectors, the situation remained largely unchanged.

• Over the past day on the Russian-Ukrainian front, the Defense Forces eliminated 1,120 Russian soldiers, as well as a helicopter and 15 tanks.
