118 combat clashes occur at front, nearly half in Kurakhove, Pokrovsk sectors

Ukraine's General Staff reported the information.

The border regions of Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to face heavy Russian artillery shelling. The settlements of Karpovychi, Pokrovka, Porozok, Dmytrivka, Sopych, Bobylivka, Velyka Pysarivka, and Boiaro-Lezhachi have been affected. Esman, Usok, and Yunakivka have also come under air strikes. Additionally, Russian aviation has dropped 24 guided aerial bombs on the Kursk region of Russia. Russian troops have also targeted the Kursk region with MLRS and cannon artillery.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces have stormed Ukrainian positions twice near Vovchansk. Fighting in this area is ongoing.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions four times. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled assaults near Hlushkivka, Synkivka, and Berestove.

In the Lyman sector, Russian units continue to attack in the areas of Tverdokhlibove, Druzheliubivka, Novosadove, Hrekivka, Nevske, Torske, and Terny. Since the start of the day, Ukrainian troops have repelled eight out of 16 Russian attacks in this region. The fighting is ongoing. Additionally, nine Russian bombs have fallen near Petropavlivka and Borova.

In the Siversk sector, fighting continues as Russia has attacked three times near Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, and Spirne. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all these attacks.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops launched four assault attacks near Andriivka and Chasiv Yar. Three firefights are ongoing near Chasiv Yar. Russia is actively using aviation, having dropped four guided aerial bombs on the areas of Stupochky and Bila Hora. They also fired unguided aerial missiles twice at Hryhorivka.

In the Toretsk sector, the number of Russian attacks has reached seven so far. The occupying army is targeting areas near Nelipivka and Toretsk. Ukrainian defenders are putting up a strong resistance, and all attacks have been stopped. Russia’s aircraft bombed the areas of Dachne, Kostiantynivka, Dyliivka, and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have made 31 attempts to attack Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Myroliubivka, Mykhailivka, and Zelene Pole. Ukrainian forces have already repelled 21 of these attacks, with 10 combat engagements still ongoing. Russian troops are focusing their main efforts near Novohrodivka and Mykhailivka, where 11 and 9 combat engagements have been recorded.

Most of the fighting occurred in the Kurakhove sector, where Russia attacked Ukrainian troops 37 times. Russian troops are trying to advance most actively in the areas of Ukrainsk, Kostiantynivka, and Heorhiivka. Five battles are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions near Vuhledar, Vodiane, and Kostiantynivka eight times. All attacks were repelled.

In the Orikhiv sector, the area near the village of Piatykhatky was hit by 20 unguided aerial missiles. Russia also conducted five attacks near Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, one Russian attack was repelled. The occupying army launched 40 unguided aerial missiles at Mykolaivka.

The Russian army is currently not active in other sectors.
