The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine shared the information, Espreso TV reports.
The source of disinformation is Russian Telegram channels, which began to spread a TikTok video by a Polish user with the title "Ukrainian mobilization in universities," in which employees of the local military administration of Ukraine allegedly take away a student right during his studies.
"In fact, this video was shot more than seven months ago at the Shehyni checkpoint on the border with Poland. This is evidenced by a BBC News Ukraine story about students going abroad. The student did not want to leave the checkpoint, so customs officers had to take him out. Also, according to the first paragraph of the second part of Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization," students, postgraduates and doctoral students who are studying full-time are not subject to military service during the special period," the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized.
They also added that with such materials, Russia seeks to disrupt the mobilization that takes place under martial law and discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, a fake news was spread online that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had allegedly promised Poland the western territory of Ukraine in exchange for help with a counteroffensive.
