Russia shells Sumy, Chernihiv border areas 50 times
On August 4, Russian forces subjected four communities in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions to intense bombardment from grenade launchers, artillery and mortars

Russian forces shelled Shalyginsk and Esmansk communities of the Sumy region with automatic grenade launchers and mortars. Two 120 mm mines exploded on the outskirts of the border settlement of Shalyginsk community. Another 15 grenades exploded in the Esman community.

Russian forces fired mortars at the Semenivska community 4 times in the Chernihiv region, from the Russian side of Lomakivka: 14 explosions were recorded. There were also 8 explosions after Russian fire from barrel artillery. They shelled the Novgorod-Siversk community from Russian Lednev and Sluchevsky with 120 mm mortars - a total of 9 hits. In addition, two explosions from a self-propelled artillery installation were recorded.
There was no information about civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. The data is being clarified.
