Russia shells Bakhmut, Pokrovsk districts of Donetsk region, killing 4, wounding 3 people
On 26 December, Russian forces shelled several localities in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region

On 26 December, at about 8 am, Russian army fired artillery at the town of Toretsk, Bakhmut district. A 67-year-old woman died from the explosions in her own yard. A 74-year-old man died on the roadway near the local hospital.
At the same time, Russian forces attacked the village of Pivnichne, where a 73-year-old man was killed, and a 62-year-old resident was wounded near a private house.
Two hours later, the Russian army shelled Avdiivka. A shell hit a private house, killing a 61-year-old man and trapping his 56-year-old wife under the rubble.
The woman was provided with emergency medical care and hospitalized with head injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds, she is in serious condition.
Russian troops also attacked the village of Kostyantynivka in Pokrovsk district. A 61-year-old woman was killed in her own home.
- Due to the intensification of Russian shelling, the mandatory evacuation of the population in Donetsk region was extended.
