Russia shells 70 houses in Luhansk region in a day, one person killed, another injured
On May 22, Russian forces have damaged more than 70 houses, killed a man and injured another. A child, who was wounded in an earlier attack, also died.
Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Sergiy Gaidai shared the update in his Telegram channel.
On May 7, Russians fired artillery on Pryvillya settlement, an 11-year-old girl received mine and explosive trauma and was hospitalized at Dnipropetrovsk regional children's hospital. Doctors tried to save her for two weeks, but she died on May 22.
"A resident of Lysychansk also died yesterday when a Russian shell hit her apartment in the evening. The bombardment of the residential quarter was very tight, four houses were damaged at once. 13 houses were destroyed in the city. Novosdruzhesk repeatedly withstood powerful blows, but 28 houses were also destroyed there," said Sergiy Gaidai.
Russians shelled more than 70 houses in a day. They hit 13 houses in Zolote, 4 in Nyrkove, 3 in Mykolayivka and Katerynivka, 2 in Girske. 5 high-rise buildings and a shopping area were damaged in Severodonetsk. Elderly man was injured, whom police brought to the hospital on time.
During the attack on Severodonetsk, Russians fought in the areas of Purdivka and Oleksandrivka, and stormed Toshkivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed 11 Russian attacks, destroyed 6 Russian tanks, 10 armored combat vehicles and 6 vehicles. Ukrainian air defense units shot down a Russian Orlan-10 drone and a Su-25 aircraft.
