Mariupol Mayor Adviser Petro Andryushchenko shared an update in his Telegram channel.
"Our sources report that the so-called DPR Migration Ministry has given an instruction on the urgent arrangement of points for providing certificates of residence and receiving documents for Russian passports," he said.
DPR Migration Ministry Head in Mariupol, Oleksandr Skrebov, is urgently looking for places for these points in undamaged buildings with the possibility of connecting electricity, together with the Russian military.
"We attribute such a sudden increase in activity to the statements of Russian politicians about the annexation of the Donetsk region in July this year," Petro Andryushchenko said.
