Russia sends reinforcements to Vuhledar, Ukrainian forces repel 83 enemy attacks in 5 directions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on Facebook. 

On March 24, Russia prepares to send reinforcements to the occupying Russian forces near Vuhledar: on March 13, the 37th Detached Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 36th Army of the Eastern Military District conducts a combat coordination of the Storm unit.

“The brigade is significantly understaffed, so unit commanders recall their subordinates from treatment and rehabilitation. The soldiers complain about the low level of support. There is a very low level of motivation among the personnel and a large number of attempts to avoid being sent to the combat zone,” the General Staff noted.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 83 attacks in 5 directions and struck the enemy's military positions 17 times

Russia is focusing its main efforts on attempts to completely seize the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In order to achieve its goals, Russia continues offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions.

Over the last day, our defenders repelled 83 attacks in this sector. Bakhmut remains the epicenter of the fighting.

“Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation launched 10 strikes on the occupying troops' concentration areas. At the same time, a Shahed-136 UAV was shot down, and our missile and artillery specialists hit 7 areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated,” the General Staff said.

The Russian army launched 11 missile strikes and 16 airstrikes against Ukraine, including on the civilian infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia

“Yesterday, the Russian Federation continued to use terror tactics against the civilian population of Ukraine. By shelling populated areas and critical infrastructure, the enemy completely ignores the laws and customs of war,” the military emphasized.

On March 18, they launched 11 missile attacks, 4 of which targeted civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. Experts also recorded 16 airstrikes and 99 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems. 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact, 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 3 settlements in the Sumy region, as well as 6 settlements in the Kharkiv region. 

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the Russian troops continue to try to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense. They conducted unsuccessful offensives near 4 settlements. 12 more localities came under artillery fire. 

In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled numerous enemy attacks in the northern part of Bakhmut, as well as in the areas of 3 more settlements. 11 more localities came under fire. 

In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, the Russian enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of 6 settlements, which the occupying forces attacked 15 times. 9 towns and villages were subjected to enemy attacks.
