Fires break out at Russia's Milerovo military airfield after Ukrainian drone attack
As a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on the night of Saturday, July 20, fires broke out at the Russian Milerovo military airfield
Defense Express reports.
It is noted that a large-scale fire at the airfield was recorded by NASA's satellite fire monitoring service. In addition, the published videos of the fire show the real consequences of the attack for Russia.
Analysts add that the video was shot from the south in the immediate vicinity of the air base. The first shots show a fire in the area where the fuel for the aircraft is stored.
The fire can also be seen on the site of the maintenance unit, where aircraft are serviced and repaired.

“That is, we are talking about two 100% damaged and disabled facilities, on the functioning of which the entire Milerovo airbase depends,” the report says.
In addition, analysts suggest that Ukrainian drones could have also hit airplanes and helicopters that were in open areas.
It is noted that the Russian airfield Milerovo is located 150 km from the current front line in the Rostov region and is used by the occupiers to base front-line bombers, attack aircraft, attack helicopters and other aircraft.
Vasily Golubev, the governor of Russia's Rostov region, was the first to report the drone attack.
According to him, Russian air defense forces allegedly destroyed more than 10 UAVs in the northern Rostov region. As of 2:56 a.m., the Russian military continued to repel the reported massive drone attack.
“There are no casualties. Information about the consequences on the ground is being clarified,” Golubev added.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 26 drones over the Rostov region and one over the Smolensk region.
