Russia reduces number of ships in Black Sea due to storm, weather is critical for aviation and drones - Ukraine’s Defense Forces

Russian troops have reduced the number of ships on combat duty in the Black Sea due to the storm. As of the morning of March 30, there are up to 6 ships, including an underwater missile carrier.

Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces, said in a telethon.

The storm at sea is 4-5 points, which is critical seaworthiness, the expert says, so Russia's ship grouping at sea has decreased.

"We used to observe more than 10 ships, now it is 6 ships in the Black Sea, along with support vessels. Among them, there is one submarine missile carrier, which can be equipped with 4 Kalibr missiles. This is a way to "stay on duty" and remind of their presence," said Humeniuk.

The bad weather reportedly prevents the occupiers from using aircraft and drones for attacks.

"Stormy weather is also critical for airplanes, and there is no threat of Shahed drones due to gusty winds," adds Humeniuk.

The spokeswoman warns that missile launchers are unlikely to be used, but the threat of an attack is not excluded.
