Putin himself answers why Finland joined NATO
"I don't understand", Putin said, why Finland joined NATO
Because, they said, everything was fine - trade was going on, economies were developing, the real estate market was growing at the expense of Russians....
And then he added: "In recent years, Helsinki, and even in the border areas of Finland, rubles were accepted, including in large supermarkets, you could buy any goods for rubles, all the advertisements were in Russian... But there were apparently forces... right-conservative, nationalistic, who did not like it, what Russians are doing here, buying houses, apartments, why everything is in Russian"....
Well, this is the answer to why Finland joined NATO.
It seems that all is clear with Putin, but I still continue to be surprised by his distorted logic. So, when Finland saw Putin going to Ukraine to defend "Russian people," it was supposed to sit back and just wait for its turn to come?
