Russia presses on Bilohorivka, Serebryanske forestry on eastern front – Ukrainian National Guard officer

He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"In the Lyman direction, the enemy is pressing simultaneously through Serebryanske forestry and from the industrial zone of Bilohorivka. Fierce fighting is constantly taking place in this industrial zone. Bilohorivka is located at a height, while Serebryanske forestry is a little lower. That is why these areas are important. Bilohorivka is a springboard for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' further offensive to liberate Lysychansk and Severodonetsk from the occupying Russian forces," Doroshenko pointed out.

The National Guard officer also added that in the Kupyansk sector, the Russian enemy is trying to reach the Oskil and Zherebets rivers. Such actions are a short-term attempt on the part of the enemy.

• Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army has lost 258,340 soldiers. On August 21, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives near Klishchiyivka, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to hold back the Russian offensive in the areas of Avdiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka.
