Russia prepares information attack against Ukraine’s Defense Minister Umerov
Russian special services have prepared a large-scale information attack against Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
"Russian special services have created and sent to controlled propagandists and so-called technologists a new methodology of narratives to undermine confidence in our state among partners in the West. As part of the next campaign to discredit Ukraine, an information attack against Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is planned," the intelligence service writes.
The intelligence service shared the main fakes from the Kremlin's manual:
- "Corrupt Ukraine sells weapons to Hamas terrorists";
- "Ukraine uses the grain corridor for illegal arms trade";
- "Rustem Umerov uses his connections in the Arab world for illegal arms trade";
- "Lebanon's opening of the market for Ukrainian agricultural products is used for illegal arms trade".
According to the MID, the goal of the enemy's new information campaign remains unchanged – to completely stop the supply of weapons to the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine from partner states.
“Russian enemy's spreading of these fakes indicates the intensification of the efforts of the Russian aggressor state aimed at discrediting Ukraine. For the same purpose, Russian special services secretly handed over to Hamas terrorists some samples of Western weapons captured during the fighting in Ukraine," the statement said.
The intelligence service warns journalists, representatives of Ukrainian and foreign media, and Ukrainian citizens against spreading narratives promoted by Russian propaganda.
