Russia plans to raise age of mobilized to 65
Military and public figure, Major General of Ukrainian Security Service Viktor Yagun noted that covert mobilization is still ongoing in Russia.
He said this on Espreso TV channel.
"Leadership of the Russian Federation will not announce mobilization, because they have not completed mobilization that is currently underway. There was no decree from Putin to stop it. Mobilization in Russia continues by a hidden method. Intensity can be increased by closing the borders of the Russian Federation, raising the age of mobilized to 65 years. Russia will make a decision to increase the term of service in the army to two years in the ground forces, and to three years in the navy," Yagun explained.
Major General of the Ukrainian Security Service emphasized that this tactic of Russian leadership regarding mobilization is a return to Soviet Union traditions.
"There will be a decision on permission to sign a contract from the first day after taking the oath. All conscripts of the Russian army will have the right to switch to a contract, which means they can be involved in military operations on the territory of Ukraine," Yagun added.
