Russia may intensify combat in Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv directions - Zgurets

He expressed his opinion with Espreso.

"The situation in the Zaporizhzhya direction can change dynamically. It is expected that the Russians are preparing counteroffensive actions in this direction. Russia is trying to seize the initiative in hostilities, and this direction is one of the priorities for the Russian leadership. In addition, the occupiers are transferring equipment to this direction, which  confirms this thesis," explained Zgurets.

The analyst believes that Kharkiv may also become one of the priority destinations for the Russian army.

"There are also certain expectations that the enemy may intensify combat operations in the Kharkiv direction. The Russians may replace the attacks on Slovyansk in the direction of Barvinkove. After that, the Russian army may begin offensive operations south of Kharkiv. All these directions of possible actions of the occupiers are clear, and I think that the Ukraine's Armed Forces will also prepare for such possible scenarios," he added.
