Russia may execute false flag operation, attempt to blame Ukraine – Piontkovsky
Andrey Piontkovsky, a political scientist from Washington, believes that Putin knows the consequences if he tries to use nuclear weapons
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
American and Chinese leaders have explained to Putin the severe consequences of using nuclear weapons, including his death and the Russian army's downfall, according to Piontkovsky. However, the Russians may still resort to another provocation, typical of Patrushev and Putin style, such as blowing up a nuclear power plant to maintain their grip on power, the political scientist explained.
This option is being actively developed by the Russian Federation, and they may falsely accuse Ukraine of causing a man-made disaster to force a halt to military operations.
Piontkovsky believes that such an attack would require Ukraine to deploy all its resources to save people, similar to the response after the Chernobyl disaster. This situation would demand a cessation of military operations, and Ukraine would face pressure from the world community to stop its offensive.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, claims that Russian nuclear weapons are unusable, with the last test being conducted in 1998.

Nevertheless, Dmytro Rogozin, the former Director General of Roscosmos, who is now reportedly on the front line, has threatened to use tactical nuclear weapons to halt the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
