Rogozin threatens to stop Ukrainian counteroffensive with tactical nuclear weapons
Former Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin, who is allegedly at the frontline, threatens to stop the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive with tactical nuclear weapons
He made the statement in a video posted on his Telegram channel.
According to Rogozin, he is in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region. He says the weather is favorable for fighting, so Russian troops are preparing for Ukraine’s counteroffensive, which may be about to begin.
Rogozin predicts that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will launch a counteroffensive using HIMARS missile systems, then attack with drones, and then with Abrams and Leopard tanks. He explained how Russians are going to counter each type of weapon, but suggested that the forces will be unequal and Russian troops will not be able to cope.
"According to our doctrine, we have every right to use tactical nuclear weapons. It exists for this very purpose. It is a great equalizer when there is a clear disparity in conventional weapons in favor of the enemy," Rogozin said, calling the use of tactical nuclear weapons "the best way to stop the offensive" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
