Russia loses up to 300 soldiers, 300 Wagner PMC mercenaries in Luhansk and Kherson regions - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on December 26.

It is noted that the occupying Russian forces continue to use civilian medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territories to treat their soldiers. Up to 300 wounded mercenaries of the Wagner PMC are currently being treated in the village of Bilovodsk, Luhansk region.

In addition, in Pervomaisk, on the territory of the so-called military hospital, deployed on the basis of the multidisciplinary lyceum, up to 300 Russian soldiers who were injured in the Bakhmut area are also being treated.

In Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region, the invading Russian forces intensified administrative and police measures

The General Staff reports that in Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian military, together with local collaborators, are searching for patriotic Ukrainian citizens, checking personal laptops and phones, and searching houses. 

During the day, Ukraine's Armed Forces hit 4 Russian control points and 6 military positions

In addition, the aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the enemy's concentration area.

The General Staff also confirmed that on December 24, Ukraine's Armed Forces struck the enemy's manpower concentration area near the village of Polovynkyne, Luhansk region. It is known that the occupying forces lost up to 150 soldiers dead and wounded.

In addition, on December 25, the invaders lost up to 50 servicemen killed and up to 100 wounded in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. About 5 units of military equipment of various types were also destroyed.

Occupying Russian forces launched 19 MLRS attacks on the territory of Ukraine per day

The General Staff said that during the day, on December 26, the Russian enemy launched 19 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). 

It is noted that the Russian troops are concentrating their efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Lyman, Kupiansk, Avdiivka, and Zaporizhzhia directions - they are trying to improve the tactical position. The Russian enemy is defending in the Vuhledar and Kherson directions.

On the border with Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly. In other directions, the situation is as follows:

• In the northeastern Ukrainian border in the Kharkiv region, the districts of Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk and Ridkodub were subjected to artillery shelling.

• In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the Russian enemy inflicted fire damage in the areas of more than 20 settlements. Among them are Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Tabaivka, Berestove, Ploschanka, Dibrova, and Torske. 

• In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions of the Donetsk region, the Russian forces shelled the areas of more than 30 settlements. In particular, these are Berestove, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, New York, Avdiivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka. 

• In the Vuhledar direction of the Donetsk region, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Vremivka came under Russian fire. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian enemy shelled more than 15 settlements with tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. Among them are Novopillia, Olhivske, Malynivka, Dorozhnianka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and Mali Shcherbaky. 

• In the Kherson direction, the Russian troops continue artillery shelling of populated areas along the right bank of the Dnipro River. In particular, the civilian infrastructure of Novooleksandrivka, Havrylivka, Respublikanets, Novokairy, Mykilske, Prydniprovske, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, and Kherson was affected.

Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said that the occupying Russian forces are using Melitopol as a logistics hub.
