Russia loses one air defense system, 14 tanks, and 480 soldiers in a day – General Staff 

The General Staff of the Armed Forces  of Ukraine informs about this.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 30.07.23 were approximately:

• personnel – about 245,700 (+480) 
• tanks ‒ 4205 (+14)
• armored personnel vehicles ‒ 8178 (+11)
• artillery systems – 4795 (+9)
• MLRS – 698 (+0)
• anti-aircraft warfare systems ‒ 459 (+1)
• aircraft – 315 (+0)
• helicopters – 311 (+0)
• UAVs operational-tactical level – 4011 (+4)
• cruise missiles ‒ 1347 (+0),
• warships/boats ‒ 18 (+0) units,
• vehicles and fuel tanks – 7275 (+28)
• special equipment ‒ 711 (+1)

36 combat clashes occur at the front during one day

This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation in different regions of Ukraine 

On the northern Ukrainian border, the operational situation has not changed. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

On the northeastern border, Russian troops launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 20 settlements across Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops shelled 7 settlements across the Kharkiv region. 

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops shelled 6 settlements across the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Russian forces attempted advancing near Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka, unsuccessfully. 

In the Bakhmut direction, Russians shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. 

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements with artillery. One area suffered from air strikes. 

In the Marinka direction, Russian troops shelled over 15 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery. Ukrainian forces hold the defense near Marinka. One area was subjected to air strikes. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops shelled 7 settlements. Two areas suffered from air strikes. 

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They shelled over 30 settlements across Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. Three areas suffered from airstrikes. 

Meanwhile, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in Melitopol and Berdyansk directions. They are holding their positions and countering enemy attacks.

Russia launch 8 missile attacks and 33 air strikes against Ukraine

The Russian Federation is still aggressively fighting, even though they face significant losses. They continue to harm innocent people in Ukraine and ignore the rules of war, using terror tactics, as highlighted by the General Staff.

Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine using Iranian Shahed attack drones. The details of the aftermath of this terrorist attack are still being clarified.

In the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 8 missile strikes, 33 air strikes, and 53 MLRS attacks on our troops and civilian areas. Civilians have been killed, and residential buildings have been destroyed.

AFU destroy 4 Russian reconnaissance UAVs and target Russian military positions 9 times 

During this time, our defense aviation carried out 9 strikes on locations where the enemy's personnel, weapons, and military equipment were gathered. Our defenders also managed to destroy 4 enemy reconnaissance drones.

Additionally, our missile forces and artillery targeted and hit one artillery piece, one ammunition storage, one electronic warfare station, and one concentration area of enemy personnel.

• On Saturday, July 29, Russian terrorists attacked an educational institution in Sumy. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at least one person was killed, and five civilians were injured in the incident.
