Russia loses more than thousand troops over one day of war in Ukraine

This was reported on November 9 by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to November 9, 2023 are approximately as follows:

• personnel - about 308,720 (+1080) people
• tanks - 5316 (+15) units
• armored combat vehicles - 10014 (+18) units
• artillery systems - 7475 (+36) units
• MLRS - 875 (+3) units
• air defense systems - 577 (+5) units
• aircraft - 322 (+0) units
• helicopters - 324 (+0) units,
• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 5593 (+26),
• cruise missiles - 1557 (+1),
• ships/boats - 20 (+0) units
• submarines - 1 (+0) units,
• vehicles and fuel tanks - 9853 (+39) units
• special equipment - 1059 (+5).

Situation on the main frontlines

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.
In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations near the village of Synkivka, Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 enemy attacks there.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted an assault near Novoyehorivka in Luhansk region but was unsuccessful.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled about 30 enemy attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Khromove, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to assault south of Bakhmut in Donetsk region, losing manpower and equipment.
In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops keep trying to surround the city of Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense, inflicting numerous losses on Russian forces. Russia's offensive actions near Avdiivka and 4 more settlements in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled over 10 attacks.
In the Marinka direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled over 20 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled the assault near Staromayorske and south of Prechystivka, Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy did not launch any assaults.
In the Melitopol direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on Russian forces, and reducing the enemy's strength along the entire front line.
In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conduct counter-battery operations and successfully strike at the enemy's rear.

Russian terrorists conducted 2 missile and 48 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine 

Over the last day, 78 combat engagements took place.

In total, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes and 48 air strikes, fired 79 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

The Russian invaders also launched another missile attack on Ukraine, using one Kh-59 and one Kh-31 guided missile each. Air defense forces destroyed the Kh-59 missile.

Air strikes were carried out in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 8 artillery pieces and 3 enemy ammunition depots

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, and 3 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile troops hit 8 artillery pieces, 3 ammunition depots, 4 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 3 air defense facilities, a radar station, 3 electronic warfare stations and one more important enemy target.
