Russia loses another 550 soldiers, 8 tanks and 33 artillery systems overnight - Ukraine’s General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced this in a morning report.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from 24.02.22 to 12.09.23 are estimated to be:

• personnel - about 269,760 (+550) people
• tanks - 4,568 (+8)
• armored combat vehicles - 8,778 (+11)
• artillery systems - 5,872 (+33)
• MLRS - 764 (+4)

Russian forces are trying to break through the Ukraine's defenses near Avdiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region

Thus, according to the General Staff, 30 combat clashes took place at the front over the past day. The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains quite difficult.

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, in the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces launched an airstrike near Leonivka, Chernihiv region. They carried out more than 15 artillery and mortar attacks on civilian infrastructure and the population of the frontline regions.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group on the Kupyansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions, the Russian forces launched air strikes near Synkivka, Ivanivka in Kharkiv region, and 4 more settlements in Luhansk region. The invaders continue their attempts to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses near Novoselivske in Luhansk region, Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Klishchiivka in Donetsk region. Over 15 localities suffered from numerous artillery and mortar attacks.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russia conducted air strikes near 4 localities in Donetsk region. Over 15 settlements were affected by multiple artillery and mortar attacks. The invaders tried to break through the Ukrainian defense in the areas of Avdiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region to no avail.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian army launched air strikes near 5 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 localities sustained artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Melitopol direction, the Defense Forces continue their offensive, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces. In turn, Russia is trying to restore its units, continuing numerous assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops. Ukrainian soldiers are bravely holding the line, having repelled over 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Robotyne and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region. They were successful in the areas south and southeast of Robotyne and are consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Russian Federation launched air strikes near Odradokamianka, Kherson region, and Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro region. Over 10 frontline settlements suffered from artillery and mortar attacks. The defense forces continue to wage counter-battery combat, destroying supply depots and striking the enemy in its rear.

Russians launched 12 drones and fired 56 MLRS at Ukrainian territory

Russia launched 10 missile and 53 air strikes, as well as made over 56 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems at both the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian objects in Ukraine. The General Staff notes that the Russian forces keep ignoring the laws and customs of warfare and use terror tactics typical for the Kremlin.

Unfortunately, such terrorist actions of the invading Russian forces resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population, destroyed residential buildings, and damaged civilian infrastructure. In particular, civilians in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro region, suffered from cynical missile attacks.

Yesterday, on September 11, Russia attacked Ukraine with 12 Shahed-136/131 type kamikaze drones. All 12 attack drones were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense forces.

Aviation of the Defense Forces struck 7 times at the areas of invaders' concentration

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 7 strikes on the areas of the Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration.

Missile and artillery units and unmanned aerial systems destroyed 12 artillery units, 1 area of Russia's personnel, weapons and military equipment, 1 control center and 1 ammunition depot.

• On the morning of Monday, September 11, loud explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro region. Russia launched attack UAVs and missiles in the direction of the city. The air defense was activated there. All Russian air targets were destroyed - 13 drones.
