Russia loses about 42,640 soldiers, 193 helicopters and 133 air defense systems since starting war in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24 to August 9 amounted to:

•  personnel - about 42,640 (+300 per day) 

•   tanks - 1,817 (+6)

•   armored fighting vehicles - 4,076 (+6) 

•   artillery systems - 964 (+4)

•   MLRS - 261 

•   air defense systems - 133 (+1)

•   aircraft - 223

•   helicopters - 193 (+1)

•   vehicles and tank trucks - 2,998 (+5) 

•   ships/boats - 15

•   UAV operational-tactical level - 757 (+3)

•   special equipment - 87 (+1)

•   cruise missiles - 185 (+3)

On August 8, Russian forces suffered the greatest losses in the Bakhmut (Donetsk region - Ed.) and Donetsk directions.
