Russia loses 7 tanks, 23 artillery systems, 390 soldiers in one day – Ukraine's General Staff

Ukrainian Armed Forces secure positions near Verbove, Russian troops are trying to recapture lost positions

There were over 20 combat clashes at the front yesterday, according to the General Staff. 

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, in the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, Russia maintains a heavy military presence. It is conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to risky areas, and is increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled attacks in Bilohorivka, Donetsk region. Russian forces tried to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, but were unsuccessful. Defense forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on Russian troops, and consolidating their own positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group, in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled attacks near Avdiivka, Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives near Marinka and Pobyeda, Donetsk region, where they made over 10 unsuccessful attempts to force Ukrainian units out of their positions over the past day.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders hold the line and inflict losses on the occupying forces.

In the Melitopol direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces near Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region, depleting them along the entire front line and forcing to withdraw from their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue counter-battery combat, destroying supply depots and successfully striking at Russia’s rear.

Russian troops launch 38 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian territory

Russian troops launched 5 missile strikes and 57 air attacks, as well as 38 MLRS attacks on both Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas. These Russian attacks resulted in casualties among the civilian population, along with the destruction and damage of private homes and other civilian infrastructure.

Airstrikes hit 3 settlements in the Kharkiv region; 2 in the Luhansk region; 10 in the Donetsk region; Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region; and 7 in the Kherson region.

Over 70 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions were targeted by artillery fire.

Ukrainian defense forces launch 10 strikes on Russian personnel concentrations

The Russian occupying forces persist in violating international humanitarian law by targeting not only Ukrainian military positions but also civilian infrastructure in populated areas, terrorizing civilians. Yesterday, Russia deployed Shahed-136/131 drones against Ukraine. Thanks to Ukraine’s air defense, 14 out of 15 of them were successfully destroyed.

Furthermore, in the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 9 strikes on Russian personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentrations, and 7 strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems.

Units of the missile forces also targeted 1 Russian personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentration, along with 1 anti-aircraft missile complex, 8 artillery pieces, and 1 radar station.

• The day before, Commander Oleksandr Tarnavskyi of the Tavria operational and strategic troop group reported that Ukrainian forces successfully breached the Russian army's defense near Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region.
