Russia loses 27,900 soldiers, 1,235 tanks, 201 aircraft and 167 helicopters starting war in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24 to May 17 amounted to:

 personnel - about 27,900 (+200 per day) 

  tanks - 1,235 (+7) 

  armored fighting vehicles - 3,009 (+35) 

  artillery systems - 578 (+1)

  MLRS - 198 (+3)

  air defense systems - 90 (+1)

  aircraft - 201 (+1)

  helicopters - 167 (+2)

  vehicles and tank trucks - 2,109 (+8) 

  ships/boats - 13

  UAV operational-tactical level - 436 (+9)

  special equipment - 43 (+1)

  cruise missiles - 97

Russian forces suffered the greatest losses over the past day in the Lyman (Donetsk region - Ed.) and Zaporizhzhya directions.
