Russia launches unsuccessful assault operations in four directions — General Staff

During the day, on November 7, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the Shakhtarsk, Marinka, Bakhmut and Kupyansk directions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared the regular report, as below.

Ukrainian aviation launches 17 strikes on Russian personnel concentrations

There were also another 4 strikes against Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian missile troops hit 6 Russian artillery pieces, 2 control points, a fuel and lubricants depot, a concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, an air defense facility, 2 radar stations and an electronic warfare station.

Russian troops also launched 30 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged. Unfortunately, there are wounded among the civilian population. 

36 combat clashes take place on the main frontline areas 

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region. About 20 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Kupyansk direction,  Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation near Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove, Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 5 attacks there. Russian troops also launched air strikes near 3 settlements. Over 10 more settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Lyman direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near 4 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Also, about 10 settlements suffered from Russian artillery and mortar attacks.

In Bakhmut direction, Russian troops had unsuccessful assault operations near Bohdanivka, Andriivka and Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. About 15 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire, and another settlement suffered an air strike.

In Avdiivka direction, Russian troops conducted assault operations near 4 settlements in the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 13 attacks. Russian troops also carried out 10 air strikes on the town of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. About 6 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Marinka direction, Russian troops launched unsuccessful assaults near Marinka, Donetsk region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 13 attacks. About 10 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops conducted an assault near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, but were unsuccessful. They launched an air strike near Rivnopil, Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian forces did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. Over 15 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Kherson direction, Russian troops launched an air strike near the village of Tyahynka, Kherson region. Three settlements in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson also came under Russian artillery fire.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupying forces, and depleting them along the entire front line.

  • On Tuesday, November 7, Russian terrorists launched 3 “kamikaze” drones at the Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region.
