He shared this information on Espreso TV live on air.

"Especially now, when the Russians are exhausted, they know, based on their intelligence, which units caused them numerous losses or steadfastly defended certain objects, as well as disrupted the strategy of the Russian offensive. Then the enemy begins to launch the work of the fifth column in the rear. Russia is waging a hybrid war and attacking Ukrainian units not only at the front," the head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces noted.

Ivan Tymochko recalled the memoirs of the Chinese general Sun Tzu, in which it is said that in order to defeat the enemy's army, it is necessary to sow a seed of distrust in their command.

"And here the fifth column is launched into action; they search for deserters, gain the trust of family members of the dead and missing, provide them with information support, and then begin to incite an artificial situation. All this works in the direction of Russian propaganda. If the enemy tried to attract politicians or famous figures, we would quickly understand everything based on the biographies of these people. However, it is very easy to promote a person who does not have such a biography in the information space, because in the best case, he was on the front line for 5 days," the head of the Council of Reservists.

Tymochko added that the professional press understands all this, which is why Russia uses social networks that are built on an emotional component, and not on truthfulness.  Accordingly, it is there that similar information attacks are made.
