Russia launches over 1,000 missiles, drones at Ukraine's energy infrastructure - Ukrenergo
Іince October 10, Russia has fired more than 1,000 missiles and drones to destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, chairman of the board of NPC Ukrenergo, Ukraine's state grid operator, said this at the Media Center.
“More than 1,000 heavy missiles and drones have been fired at Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities since October 10. We have survived 8 large waves and more than 10 smaller strikes, primarily thanks to our heroic armed forces,” Kudrytskyi said.
He emphasized that in some regions of Ukraine, where the infrastructure suffered the most damage as a result of shelling, the restoration continues without interruption.
“These are mainly mainline substations and power plants, which are operated by both private and state utility companies. Wherever possible, both the generation's ability to produce electricity and the network's ability to reliably transmit it over long distances are being restored,” Kudrytskyi added.
In addition, today at the briefing, the chairman of the Ukrenergo board said that currently one of the most acute situations with electricity is in the Odesa, Kherson and Kharkiv regions. And it will be possible to return to scheduled shutdowns in a few days.
