Russia launches new fake story about Ukrainian military uniforms for sale in Turkey

Russian Telegram channels are spreading a fake story claiming that a Turkish classic clothing store is selling Ukrainian Armed Forces' uniforms

Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation reported this.

The propagandists also attached a photo that allegedly shows an Armed Forces uniform with a 'not for sale' tag.

“The main argument of the propaganda media is that the Ukrainian uniform is not intended for commercial sale, which is regulated by the regulations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, according to officials of the Turkish Carlo Potti store, they do not sell Ukrainian military uniforms. The sample displayed in the window is only a variant of possible tailoring. The uniform and the tag were left in the store by an unknown person,” the Center for Countering Disinformation reported.

The Center also urged not to trust materials that appeal to emotions, as excessive emotionality suppresses critical thinking and helps to perceive hostile fakes.
