Russia launches 8 missile attacks, 37 airstrikes, Ukrainian army repels 58 assaults - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

AFU repelled 58 enemy attacks and destroyed Mi-24 and 4 UAVs

According to the report, the occupying Russian forces are attacking at the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, however, 58 enemy assaults were repelled by the Ukrainian defenders. The fiercest fighting continues for Bakhmut and Marinka.

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation launched 8 strikes on the Russian military positions. The defenders also shot down an enemy Mi-24 helicopter and 4 enemy UAVs: 2 reconnaissance drones - Orlan-10 and Zala, as well as 2 'kamikaze' drones of the Lancet type.

Over the course of the day, missile and artillery units struck four manpower concentration areas, two munitions depots and two other important enemy military facilities.

Over the past day, the Russian Federation launched 8 missile strikes, 37 airstrikes, and about 45 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

The attacks resulted in civilian casualties and injuries, as well as the destruction and damage to private houses and other civilian infrastructure.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact with mortars and artillery: three settlements in the Chernihiv region, six more in the Sumy region, as well as one village in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

In the Kupiansk direction, 6 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under shelling. 

In the Lyman direction, 6 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions were subjected to artillery shelling. 

In the Bakhmut direction, fierce fighting for the fortress city continues. 16 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian army shelled 6 towns and villages of the Donetsk region. 

In the Marinka direction, 3 settlements of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the invading Russian troops attacked 3 settlements in the Donetsk region. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 30 cities and villages were subjected to Russian artillery shelling.
