He said this at a meeting with Morinari Watanabe, president of the International Gymnastics Federation, who was on a visit to Ukraine.
Vadym Gutzeit said that the Russian war claimed the lives of 262 athletes and destroyed 363 sports facilities in Ukraine.
“It is very important for us that there are no athletes from Russia at sports competitions and the Olympic Games, because they all support this war and attend events held in support of this war,” the minister emphasized.

On March 30, the Cabinet of Ministers decided that Ukraine would boycott competitions in which athletes from Russia or Belarus would compete. The International Olympic Committee condemned the decision.
