Russia keeps modifying strike drones, deployment tactics - Syrskyi
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, held a working meeting on countering Russian strike drones that Russia uses nightly to terrorize peaceful Ukrainian cities
He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, the current priority is to increase and scale up the systems that are already working effectively.
“First and foremost – increasing the number of drone interceptors. We must take a comprehensive approach, using the capabilities of all available components,” Syrskyi emphasized.
He noted that the Russians constantly change the characteristics of their Shahed-type drones and the tactics of their use.
The meeting also discussed ways to improve the detection of Russian drones and their timely destruction.
“I set tasks and defined priority directions. The lives of our people, the functioning of critical infrastructure, and the country's economy as a whole depend on this. Thanks to everyone who develops drone interceptor solutions, helps implement and scale them, and trains operators,” the Commander-in-Chief concluded.
- At a meeting on June 11, the Ukrainian government approved a resolution launching an experimental project to create air defense groups to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system.
