Russia is trying to reach Synkivka for further offensive on Kupyansk — Commander of Ukraine’s Land Forces Syrskyi
Russian invaders are trying to conduct assaults in the Kupyansk and Bakhmut directions, but Ukrainian troops repel all attacks
Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of Ukraine’s Land Forces, shared the information on Telegram.
"To storm Ukrainian positions in all directions, the Russian invaders continue to use the Storm Z and Storm V units, which are formed with convicts and penal personnel," he wrote.
Syrskyi has added that Russia continues offensive actions in the Kupyansk direction.
"They are trying to reach the village of Synkivka, Kharkiv region, to continue their attack on the city of Kupyansk. Our defenders are repelling all attempts in this area," noted the general.
According to Syrskyi, in the Lyman direction, Russians are pulling together reserves and regrouping to prepare for further attacks.
"Heavy fighting continues near Bakhmut. The occupiers continue their attacks. The enemy is trying to drive Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Klishchiivka. Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the line and inflicting heavy losses on Russian troops, both in equipment and manpower," the commander summarized.
- On November 20, in the morning, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that in the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops were conducting assault operations near Synkivka, east of Petropavlivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7 attacks.
